Tapping Into Wisdom

What is EFT/Tapping?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), also known as Tapping, is a powerful holistic healing technique that has been proven to effectively resolve a range of issues, including stress and anxiety, childhood trauma, emotional distress, chronic pain, fears/phobias and limiting beliefs, to name just a few.

Tapping therapy is based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese Acupressure and Modern Psychology. Tapping with the fingertips on specific meridian endpoints of the body, while focusing on negative emotions or physical sensations, helps to calm the nervous system, rewire the brain to respond in healthier ways, and restore the body’s balance of energy.

You may have a communication pattern that's based in old, stuck energy. You may have a subconscious belief about yourself that you picked up from your childhood or your parents. You may be experiencing pandemic fatigue or have lingering anxiety from a traumatic event such as a car accident or illness.

Tapping is a gentle, effective way to release that energy and clear the old patterns. When the energy is gone, that's when the real shifts happen.

EFT Tapping has become fairly mainstream, and you may be familiar with it from youtube or The Tapping Solution. At first it might seem a little silly or even sound a bit woo-woo, but check out these facts:

* EFT Tapping is classified as a Good Science ( science that adheres to the scientific method) and is backed by Research.

EFT Tapping is an evidence-based, cutting-edge, healing modality with over 250 clinical studies published in academic peer-reviewed Scientific Journals demonstrating it's efficacy.

* EFT Tapping combines elements of traditional talk therapy with the critical somatic or body-based component of tapping on Acupoints on the skin.

* A study conducted by Harvard Researchers and published in the research journal "Human Brain Mapping" in 2000, found that when the acupoints were stimulated there was reduced arousal in the amygdala, which plays a significant role in the body's stress response.

* U.S. Veterans Administration approved EFT treatment/therapy for clients suffering from PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Pain and more.

"Trauma is anything that is experienced as threatening to our nervous system, our survival, or our wellbeing and can result in lingering symptoms."
